Waxing
Waxing removes hair from both large and small areas. This involves the application of warm wax directly to the skin. The wax adheres to the hair and both the wax and hair are removed simultaneously. I use gentle and effective hair removal Nufree soft wax and the best stripless Cirepil hard wax bead, the #1 choice of professionals worldwide! Waxing results generally last 4-6 weeks.

Waxing Prep
Hair must be at least 1/4 inch long, which is about the width of your pinky fingernail, or the size of a grain of rice. That means no shaving for at least three weeks.
Please DO NOT shave the day before your waxing appointment. The hair will not be long enough to be grabbed by the wax. You will need to reschedule your appointment and will be charged for the service.
Lightly exfoliate the area to be waxed for a few days and on the day of waxing appointment.
No sun or tanning bed for 48 hours before your waxing appointment. If you are burned, I will now be able to wax you. It will only irritate the area more and cause further problems.
Stop using retinol products or any products containing glycolic, lactic, or salicylic acid for ONE WEEK prior to any facial or brow waxing. These products can cause the skin to lift. Make sure to check the ingredients on your skincare bottles.
If you are concerned about possible pain, you may take 1-2 Ibuprofen, 30-45 minutes prior to the appointment. You can also purchase from me a tube of numbing cream to apply 45 minutes to an hour before your appointment.
Do not consume alcohol or take aspirin before your waxing appointment. No exercising, swimming, hot tubs, or tanning for 48 hours after you wax. You should also refrain from sexual activities as you do not want any friction or bacteria on your skin.
48 hours after your wax, lightly exfoliate in the shower with a washcloth, loofah or a gentle scrub to help reduce potential in-grown hairs. Continue to lightly exfoliate every other day to keep the dead skin cells at bay so the new hairs will be able to grow through. Moisturizing the waxed areas is also important as it keeps the skin soft so the new hair can grow easier.
Wear loose clothing and no lace underwear for the first 48 hours after waxing. If you are prone to ingrown hair, you should not wear lace underwear or tight-fitting clothing on a regular basis.

IMPORTANT!

Accutane Patients: Avoid all waxing while on Accutane and for a minimum of 12 months after you stop taking the medication. Consult your dermatologist about when to proceed. Serious damage can be done to the skin if you wax while on Accutane or do not wait the recommended time after.
